Job Description
The General Helper is a vital support role responsible for performing a variety of basic manual tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the workspace, facility, or production area. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
Load, unload, and move materials, equipment, and supplies manually or using basic material handling equipment (e.g., dollies, hand trucks). Keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and properly stored. Perform general cleanup duties at the job site, including sweeping, trash removal, and basic grounds maintenance. Support basic inventory tasks, such as counting, sorting, and organizing materials. Prepare and stage materials for upcoming projects or tasks. Perform other general tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a labor-intensive, general helper, or similar role is an asset. Must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Punctual and reliable with a strong commitment to attendance and completing assigned tasks.
Work Environment
This role may require working indoors and/or outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions. The work environment can be noisy, and safety gear must be worn as required. * May require flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends, depending on operational needs.
