Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Production Supervisors with direction from the Production Lead Hand, Packers are responsible for the efficient processing of plant products as directed by product SOP's and process requirements. All duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner. The Packer will be responsible for following established food safety and quality procedures.
You must be available for either morning or afternoon shifts and weekend shifts to be considered.
Ensure proper assembly of products as needed for planned production in a safe and efficient manner.
Follow all safety, HACCP and process plans and guidelines.
Maximize efficiencies where possible, minimize down time, efficient change-over of products and reporting mechanical problems promptly.
Perform a variety of cutting and packing tasks.
Perform line checks as needed.
Perform all tasks to ensure compliance with specifications of the customer's product.
Adhere to food safety, GMP and HACCP principles.
Keep work area clean, free of slip and trip hazards at all times.
Other duties as directed by Production Lead Hands and Supervisors.
Qualifications:
Able to handle heavy lifting of up to 18kg box
Experience with food safety and HACCP principles.
Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance record.
Good communication skills and able to work well in a team environment.
Ability to work well under pressure and with little supervision.
Working Conditions:
