Job Description

Summary:

For the position of General Labour, the successful candidate will assist with a variety of tasks on job sites, supporting skilled trades and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This role also includes performing winter-related duties during the colder months to support ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support winter operations, including snow removal, salting and sanding walkways, clearing entrances and work areas, and maintaining safe site access during winter conditions. Assist tradespeople with construction activities, including material handling, site preparation, and clean-up. Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment. Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision. Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads to complete assigned tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times. Adhere to company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills:

Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials (asset). Good communication skills.

Qualifications (Required):

Previous construction or general labour experience (preferred but not required). Ability to work outdoors in winter conditions and perform snow and ice management duties. Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
