Role Description

We're hiring a hands-on General Labourer to join our field team. This is a physical role involving outdoor work at various job sites. Ideal for someone who takes pride in working with their hands and enjoys contributing to high-visibility restoration work that makes a real difference in how buildings and public spaces look and last. This role can be full-time or contract-based depending on your availability and fit.

Currently we have 3 job sites involving lead paint abatement, which requires a respirator fit test (we will pay for your testing), due to this - candidates will need to be clean shaven.

At this time we are not looking for supervisors as we are running a few small teams and supervisor roles are currently filled.

How We Hire:

We're currently bringing on new hires through a

paid trial day

. This gives you a chance to experience the work firsthand, and gives us a chance to see how you perform in real conditions. If it's a good fit, we'll continue to keep you onboard as projects move forward. Trial days start their day with the rest of the active crew at 7:00 AM at one of our active job sites in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland. Due the type of work, this may involve a respirator fit test before you can start working on-site.

Requirements:

Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods if necessary Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and on active construction sites. Comfortable working at heights on scaffolding or elevated platforms (If you're scared of heights, not the best fit!) Valid Canadian work permit Clean criminal record (background check may be required for some sites Strong communication skills -- able to follow directions, learn, ask questions, and work closely with a small team Must be punctual, dependable, and safety-focused. (Please don't be late for your first day) Ready and on-time to work, Monday to Friday at 7am. Basic English proficiency (spoken and written) required for safety communication and team coordination Willingness to travel to job sites across the Lower Mainland (Typically dependant on project) Basic PPE required (At minimum, steel toe boots) Respirator fit test certification or willingness to have a fit test conducted. (Again, this job is not for those who are unable/unwilling to shave unfortunately)

Nice to Have (We will help train and get you certified!)

Previous experience in hazmat abatement, surface restoration, or construction. Fall Protection, WHMIS, or Asbestos/Mould certifications Experience with lifts, scaffolding, or working at heights. Comfort using pressure washers, grinders, vacuums, or steamers First Aid (Level 1 or higher) Valid driver's license.
