Job Description

As a

General Labourer

at Kiwi Newton Group, you'll play an essential role in supporting the production of our precast concrete and steel fabrication operations. Working both in our Guelph manufacturing facility and occasionally on job sites, you'll assist with building forms, pouring concrete, fabricating components, and performing a variety of general labour tasks that contribute to high-quality, innovative construction solutions.

This position is ideal for a hardworking, safety-minded, and dependable individual who takes pride in craftsmanship, teamwork, and hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details:



41 Massey Rd, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, N1H 7M6 Monday to Friday, 7am-4:30pm (some flexibility for maintenance schedules) Full-time, on-site within the precast manufacturing plant

Primary Responsibilities:



Perform a variety of manual labour tasks in the Precast Concrete Shop Build and assemble forms, templates, and moulds for concrete products using wood, concrete, and steel Assist with concrete pouring, grouting, and finishing to meet quality and production standards Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently Follow detailed blueprints, production drawings, and supervisor instructions Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe and efficient operations Report any quality or safety deficiencies to the Lead Hand, Foreman, or Plant Manager Safely handle, move, and position construction materials and components Participate in job-site work as required, including setup, cleanup, and installation support Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Support continuous improvement by assisting in equipment setup, maintenance, and shop organization

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Previous experience in construction, concrete, or manufacturing environments Post-secondary certificate in Construction Techniques or a related program is an asset Comfort using hand and power (tools required) Strong mechanical and manual aptitude Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints Excellent teamwork and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Comfortable working at heights (training provided for fall arrest certification) Commitment to workplace safety and product quality
