General Labourer

! This role is based out of our fabrication plant location in Edmonton, AB.

Job Summary

We are seeking an upbeat individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanour! The primary focus of the role will be ensuring that the shop floor is safe, and clean, to help it runs efficiently.


SHIFT: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and reporting to the Department Supervisor


PAY: $28.18/hr

Using various cleaning equipment to pick up shavings and dust off the shop floor Cutting wood to various lengths to assemble crates for the blending area Conducting movement of products throughout the shop, such as operating a crawler to bring pipe in the shop Cleaning out and under equipment Participate in 5S activities and sustain 5S systems. Assigned duties as deemed vital by management. Any other duties assigned as operational needs

Requirements

Must be always safety conscious of self and others Must be a self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision Must be able to analyze problems and make decisions within their area of responsibility Must be team-oriented person Must be able to lift / carry 50 pounds frequently.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labour including lifting up to 50 lbs. Working in confined spaces, such as silos The use of hand tools Considerable amount of sensory attention is required
