Reporting to site supervision, the role of General Foreman will be expected to start in November working 10 hours per day on a 5/2 shift. This position will perform general foreman work at our client\'s facility located in Red Deer.

DUTIES:

• Must maintain good relations with Customer and fellow employees
• Comply with Quinn and Customer safety policies and procedures
• Attend bi-weekly safety meetings
• Liaison with Training and Safety department.
• Provide leadership in incident investigations
• Conduct mandatory worksite inspections
• Ensure people new to the unit receive unit specific indoctrination
• Provide expertise/guidance to foremen and assign workload
• Customer focal point for work carried out in their area
• Participate in job scope reviews and conduct backlog management with Unit Planner
• Focal point to ensure history is managed as per WCR requirements.
• Time (ticket) sheet management to ensure accuracy.
• Participate in the area\'s maintenance toolbox meeting.
• Participate in the area\'s weekly audits where identified (no slips, etc.,)
• Participate when requested as a contractor rep in customer sponsored network initiatives (on-line permit request, process fire elimination etc.)
• Ensure contract compliance
• Actively implement company safety program
• Actively implement company quality program
• Ensure work is being executed appropriately through in-person field presence
• Interfaces with other units/sites and shares best practices and manpower
• Address after-hour call out/emergency manpower needs for site.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet the Physical Demands Analysis
• Possess well developed supervisory and problem-solving skills
• Possess a high degree of safety awareness and a commitment to safety program
• Maintain training as per site standard
• Must possess basic knowledge of all trade requirements in a multi skilled environment
• Possess competent interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer skills - (Windows environment, MS Word, Excel, SAP - attainable)
• Must possess and maintain a valid Alberta driver\'s license
• Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime as per Customer request
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience / 5 years in leadership positions
• Journeyman trade certificate steamfitter/pipefitter
