We're united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewReporting to the Clinical Services Manager, the incumbent is responsible for practicing as a member of the Home Hemodialysis Nursing team, utilizing nursing process in the assessment, care and teaching of Home Hemodialysis patient at SOGH, a community facility or in the patient home.Experience

• Minimum three (3) years in Nephrology Nursing required.
• Evidence of clinical expertise in Hemodialysis required.
• Previous teaching experience an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Baccalaureate of Nursing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Manitoba Nephrology Nursing course required (MNNC).
• Successful completion of the Canadian Nurses Association Nephrology certification is preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Current C.R.N.M. registration required.
• CNA Certification in Nephrology Nursing preferred.
• Valid Manitoba driver's licensce required.
• Incumbent must hold a valid Manitoba driver's license , provide own transportation and be free to travel throughout Manitoba.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to occasionally work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
• Will be required to go into patient homes for teaching and assessments.
