We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires proficiency in various construction techniques and tools, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project implementation.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks.
Oversee concrete forming and finishing processes to ensure structural integrity.
Conduct construction estimating to prepare budgets and timelines for projects.
Perform carpentry tasks including cabinet installation and framing.
Implement restoration techniques for damaged structures as needed.
Coordinate plumbing, electrical, masonry, and flooring installation work.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes throughout the project lifecycle.
Operate heavy equipment safely when required for specific tasks.
Manage caulking, painting, tile laying, and other finishing work to achieve desired aesthetics.
Experience
Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong background in construction practices including concrete work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, welding, flooring installation, and restoration techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics with precision.
Familiarity with construction estimating software and methodologies.
Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and communication.
