Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Building Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and operations of our luxury rental properties at Big White Ski Resort. This role is vital in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and that guests enjoy an exceptional experience during their stay.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and maintenance of luxury rental properties.
Perform regular inspections to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition.
Manage and coordinate repairs, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required
respond to requests from residents for minor repairs
perform daily inspections on the building systems
provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters and plumbers
ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment
May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
May supervise other workers.
Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues.

Requirements
Proven experience in industrial maintenance or building management.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC operations.
Ability to read schematics and understand low voltage systems.

This position is located at Big White Ski Resort. The successful candidate must live/work on resort full time all year. We are also seeking a 3yr minimum employment commitment for the role. Big White is a small community of about 500 people in the offseason. Living in a remote community is not suited for all candidates so being comfortable living/working in this enviroment is a big consideration. In addition, a passion for outdoor activities is a key consideration as all recreational activities are outdoors. Please consider this before applying.

Candidates interatc with guests and owners all season. They must have experience working with the public and in guest service capacity.
Must live full time at Big White Ski Resort and source your own accommodation. Due to limited availibility it can take months to find sutiable accomodation. It may possibly be shared accomodation if candidates are unable to find something in the first season. We simply need to inform candidates it can be challenging and it may take some time to secure accomodation Plan to be prepared to do some work in advance of starting in the position to secure accomidation.
