General Administrator/bookkeeper

Job Description

Seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Bookkeeper & General Administrator. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated and capable of meeting deadlines with competing priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Regular bookkeeping and administrative activities - Coding and entering purchases, sales, cash balancing, allocating expenses and payroll transactions to the appropriate vendors for multiple clients Reconciling bank accounts, credit card accounts, shareholder accounts, loans, accounts receivable, accounts payable, HST, and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis for multiple clients Processing payroll and calculating appropriate source deductions
Qualifications:

Formal training in bookkeeping and/or accounting from a Canadian post-secondary educational institution would be an asset Fast learner with attention to detail and a solid understanding of the mechanics of bookkeeping; Experience with any of the following accounting software applications would be an asset; QBO, Quickbooks Desktop, Xero, Sage 50, Simply Accounting. Tech savy, proficient in Microsoft office and excel 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience would be considered an asset Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification would be considered an asset

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
