Our client provides comprehensive financial services tailored to the unique needs of our high-net-worth clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join their finance team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the family office by ensuring accurate and timely financial records, performing essential accounting functions, and supporting various financial activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against these benchmarks.
4. Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
5. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and client billing.
6. Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain accurate expense records.
7. Tax Compliance: Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including income tax, payroll tax, and other relevant tax obligations.
8. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and support during the audit process.
9. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
10. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Your key qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or family office environment.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
