Your role
Reporting to the Controller, the General Accountant will work with the Finance team to perform, daily tasks and reconciliations. You will have specific responsibilities related to month, quarter and year ends.
What you bring to the position
Bilingual (French/English) preferred
CPA designation preferred or working towards same
Exceptional MS Office Skills
2 or more years of experience in a similar role
Insurance industry experience preferred
What you will do
Perform daily accounting duties
Create Journal Entries and posting.
General Ledger Reconciliations
Bank Reconciliations
Financial Statements
Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements.
Income Statement and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Perform month-end process
Prepare other ad-hoc analysis/financial management reports
Assist in the Interim and Statutory Audit process.
Comply with internal controls, accounting policies and other financial policies
