Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Process daily bank payments and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Responsible for accounts payable, monthly accruals, and payroll booking.
• Prepare all journal entries for daily accounting transactions.
• Manage inter-companies transactions and monthly reconciliations.
• Responsible for month-end closing.
• Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly reporting packages, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget preparation.
• Prepare and support with monthly HST filing process.
• Assist with internal and external audit queries.
• Perform government remittances and reporting.
• Responsible for periodic Survey of Statistics Canada.
• Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solutions Code of Business Conduct
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
• 3+ years of progressive work experience in a full-cycle accounting function.
• CPA designation is considered an asset.
• Experience with foreign currencies is desirable.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with excellent time management skills.
