Overview

We are seeking a motivated

General Accountant

to join our finance team in Brandon, MB. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in full-cycle corporate accounting, work in a collaborative environment, and grow their career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate and timely data entry Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accounting documentation Prepare and make bank deposits Respond to emails and phone calls from vendors, customers, and inter-company locations Administer corporate credit cards, including expense tracking Assist with the external audit process, including preparing working papers for the auditors Work with the Divisional Controller to prepare monthly reporting and provide operational reporting Errors or inefficiencies in spending, reporting, or processes are proactively identified and brought forward for improvement Provide coverage for other team members while they are away to ensure continuous business operations

Qualifications

2+ years of accounting experience Diploma/Degree in Business Administration (Accounting focus) with related experience Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word) Experience with Sage Intacct or BQE software is an asset Strong organization and time management skills Ability to work independently or in a team Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle Strong verbal and written communication skills
