Gemologist/Appraiser

Our in-store workshop and team of master goldsmiths, designers, and gemologists make us a true full-service jewellery destination.

We are seeking a

certified Gemologist/Appraiser

with a passion for fine jewellery, an expert eye for detail, and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gem identification, appraisals for insurance and estate purposes, quality control, and supporting our sales and custom design teams with expert gemological knowledge.

This is a rewarding, detail-oriented role ideal for someone who thrives in a high-end, fast-paced retail environment and enjoys working collaboratively within a skilled team.

Responsibilities:

Conduct accurate and professional gem and jewellery appraisals Assist in gem identification, grading, and sourcing Provide support to the sales and design team with gemological expertise Maintain records and documentation of all appraisals Assist with quality control and intake of custom and repair items Communicate with clients in a clear, professional manner regarding appraisal values and gemstone information

Desired Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience

in gemology and jewellery appraisal

GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG)

or equivalent certification required Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication Familiarity with jewelry design, manufacturing, and retail environments Professional, client-focused attitude Strong organizational and time-management skills

Availability:

Availability on

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

is essential.
