Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas industry, with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. This role involves working with various systems, including programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas pipelines and related equipment.

This job is Monday thru Thursday Must have a G2 License must have a Refrigerant License The office is located at 1698 Asphodel 7th Line in Hastings

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain gas pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on gas-related machinery. Perform heavy lifting as required during installation and repair tasks. Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and inspections.

Skills

Proficient in mechanical knowledge and equipment repair within the oil & gas sector. Strong understanding of pipeline operations and maintenance practices. Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems is a plus.
