Company descriptionValleyview Gas StationJob description**** Anticipated start date Spring 2025 ******** This position is required to live in or near Valleyview, AB ****Valleyview is located on the busy Edmonton - Grande Prairie corridor! Valleyview is a combination of a balanced economy, excellent investment opportunities, friendly neighbours and big-city amenities - in a small-town setting - make for remarkably high-quality living. It is home to a hospital. Also located in Valleyview is the Greenview Regional Multiplex, a state-of-the-art family-friendly facility. Valleyview is located Just over 1 hour from Grande Prairie, population of about 70,000 and has all major retailers etc (Walmart, Costco, etc). On weekends travel a bit further (3.5 hours) to Edmonton with a metro population of about 1.5 million.The gas station manager will be in charge of all day-to-day operations, which will include inventory, employee scheduling, hiring and training, ordering and receiving supplies, etc. The gas station manager will assist to create budgets and targets, will assist in advertising and marketing, will maintain pumps and fuel supply and regularly report to head office.Skills Required:
- Customer Service Skills: The ability to interact with customers, employees and vendors to ensure smooth transactions in a friendly and positive manner
- Leadership Skills: The ability to resolve conflicts and make difficult decisions when necessary while keeping employees motivated and organized
- Time Management Skills: The capacity for creating schedules and making sure daily responsibilities are met.
- Basic Math Skills: The ability to develop and successfully follow a budget and assist with payroll.
- Analytical Prowess: The ability to be a good judge of character is needed for successful hires and in solving problems during work hours.
- Communication Skills: Writing or speaking competency to ensure successful interactions with the public, employees and vendors.
