POSITION SUMMARY Position Title: Gas Station Attendant Tenure Status: Permanent Salary Range: Full-Time Hourly Location: 234 Primrose Drive Reports To Gas Station Manager Summary The Gas Station Attendants will be responsible for the sale of fuel and other automotive products, as well as all in-store merchandise, including tobacco products and dash and will be responsible for processing credit or debit card transactions as well as cash and fleet cards. Other responsibilities will include the performance of such services as fueling, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles, and performing maintenance of the property, both indoors and outdoors. All duties will be performed with a consistently high focus on customer service. Job responsibilities Receive payment from guest\xe2\x80\x99s. Ensure that restricted products (e.g. tobacco, rolling papers) are sold only to guest\xe2\x80\x99s that are of the required age by requesting appropriate identification. Perform minor property maintenance duties such as sweeping lot, scrubbing pads and cleaning of store and washrooms, answer guest\xe2\x80\x99s questions, provide accurate directions where possible, compute and record totals of transactions.Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.Be familiar with prices of goods and services, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers.Greet guest\xe2\x80\x99s entering establishments.Issue receipts or change due to customers.Maintain clean and orderly islands.Receive payment by cash, credit cards or automatic debits.Resolve guest\xe2\x80\x99s complaints or provide Head office phone number.Stock coolers, chips, bars, etc.Change fuel prices on signage when required Expectations Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills, customer service and/or retail experience preferred, exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills, highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment, able to work with minimal supervision, effective work habits, excellent organizational skills, able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, able to work well under pressure, strong attention to detail, able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times, professional appearance and manners, strong work ethic and positive team attitude Work Conditions Manual dexterity required, overtime as required, lifting or moving up to 30 lbs may be required, will perform work both indoors and outdoors, outdoor work may be performed in inclement weather, in a wide range of temperatures Job Type: Full-time Salary: $13.80 /hour + Monthly Bonus Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $13.80 per hour Shift:
