In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining gas systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will ensure that clients receive top-quality service while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities



Install, repair, and maintain gas piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings following blueprints, schematics, and industry standards such as codes. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute installation plans. Perform welding tasks using MIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG, and other welding techniques to join pipes and components securely. Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and rigging to prepare materials for installation or repair. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other mechanical equipment to complete tasks efficiently and precisely. Follow safety procedures rigorously while working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to prevent accidents or hazards. Collaborate with team members to assemble pipeline systems, plumbing fixtures, HVAC components, or fire sprinkler fittings in compliance with local codes and standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including shift reports and incident logs. Assist with maintenance activities on existing gas systems to ensure ongoing safety and efficiency. Adhere to all relevant regulations concerning ASME standards, pipeline integrity, and safety protocols during every phase of work.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Gas Fitter or in related roles within construction or manufacturing environments. (G1/G2) Clean and valid drivers license Strong knowledge of gas piping installation techniques including welding (MIG, FCAW, TIG), soldering, pipe threading, and tube bending. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment. Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing principles and pipeline assembly is highly desirable. Understanding of codes & standards applicable to gas systems and pipelines. Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities with a focus on safety compliance. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizes and system layouts. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and following detailed instructions. Valid certifications in welding (MIG/TIG/FCAW), plumbing or HVAC are preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $18.78-$43.71 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
