Gas Fitter
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
Relight pilots after replacement of gas meter
Prepare daily reports to be submitted to the project supervisor for billing
Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
Attend to gas escape calls and assist in the investigation of gas fires and explosions
Instruct apprentices
Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations
Requirements:
B Class Gas Fitter ticket from Technical Safety BC
Minimum 3 years trade related experience
Valid Class 5 Drivers license.
Knowledgeable in safe work practices and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective at establishing and maintaining working relationships.
Leadership skills with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
