We are seeking a Garde Manger to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in cold food preparation, ensuring that all dishes and buffets meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble cold prep food items for high volume guest counts, ensuring freshness and quality including but not limited to fruit, salads, canapes and antipasto.
Assist in the preparation of various dishes according to established recipes and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cold prep and kitchen areas, adhering to food safety standards.
Handle food items with care, following proper food handling procedures.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist in ordering as needed.
Support the head chef in menu planning and special event preparations.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred, with a focus on food preparation.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
