Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble cold menu items, including salads, canapes, hors d'oeuvres, sandwiches, and plated starters
Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation
Assist with event mise en place, packing, and plating for off-site catering functions
Organize and label items accurately for transport and service
Maintain a clean and efficient workstation and ensure proper food safety and storage practices
Collaborate with chefs to develop and execute menu items and event-specific presentations
Support other kitchen sections as needed to ensure smooth service
Assist in cooking and serving meals during peak hours as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (catering or fine dining experience preferred)
Strong eye for detail and presentation
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and within tight event timelines
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable schedules depending on event bookings
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
