JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Mathematics, the Game Engine Developer III works with the team to provide a solid and versatile game development kit, used to deliver high quality, captivating and performing games.
With a strong understanding of gameplay, he or she assists the game software developers and collaborates with creative and talented partners to develop new features.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Participates in the development of new features, modules and concepts required in the game development platform.
Programs, maintains, supports, integrates, documents and validates the game code using the game development platform.
Assists the game development team in integrating mathematical data into the active game projects.
Participates in software design and project analysis.
Acts as a reference for the game development team.
Troubleshoots moderate to complex issues.
Researches technical issues and shares findings with the team.
Other projects and duties as assigned by the manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in programming, preferably in video game development.
Demonstrated knowledge of C# and. Net 6.0+.
Experience with the Visual Studio development environment.
Knowledge of GIT version control tool.
Demonstrated ability to make key decisions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
ASSETS:
Knowledge of C, C++ and Unity 3D.
Ability to communicate in English.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Able to work as part of a team or independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
