Summary

Are you a professional and experienced Asphalt Concrete Pavement Testing professional with high attention to detail? Are you looking to join a company where you can make a positive contribution and are a valued member of a team?

We are now hiring for a Asphalt Control Technologist to join our team, G&C Asphalt! Based out of North Battleford, SK, this position requires travel to various jobsites to ensure the high quality work our customers are accustomed to continue to be achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and manage contract specifications on small to multimillion dollar projects while maintaining high and consistent accuracy
• Test road construction materials such as asphalt concrete pavement and granular base course
• Provide guidance to technologists working with you on crushing and paving projects
• Ensure you are in compliance with testing standards
• Provide technical advice during bidding. i.e. asphalt contents, gradation splits and suitability of aggregates

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Must have a valid class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Prior experience working within a paving company is a definite asset
• Minimum 3 years of construction related experience in the Quality Control field

Working Conditions

• Out of town travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories as required and may consist of remote locations, accommodations and Live Out Allowance may be applicable.
• Willing to work overtime, as required
• Use of personal protection equipment is required.
• Must comply with the company\xe2\x80\x99s drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
• Must comply with all company policies.
• Must be able to work respecting safety policies and procedures.
• Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
• Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
