The store of the future is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases. Your ability to communicate effectively and your passion for technology and sales will help drive our success in the retail environment. You don't need to be a technologist or futurist, but it will help if you have some interest in technology, being a maker, crafts, projects, electronics, 3D printing, design, computers, nerdy stuff in general. If you aren't super familiar but are willing to learn, we will teach you so many fun skills.

Duties

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest. Utilize merchandising techniques to create visually appealing displays that attract customers and promote sales. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and technology trends to effectively upsell and cross-sell items. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing returns and exchanges according to company policies. Exhibit strong organizational skills to keep the sales floor tidy and well-stocked while managing time effectively during busy periods. Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or scheduling appointments.

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or a customer service role is preferred. Familiarity with design, 3D-Printing, Crafting, Making, Soldering/Wiring, IT, will be greatly beneficial. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued as they enable better communication with diverse customers. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members alike. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Time management skills will help you prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
