Mover Position at Space Movers (SP Movers Inc)

LOCATION: Calgary, AB (Chinook area)

SPOILER: Full-time only, no swampers, part-time helpers, "weekend only", etc.

Space Movers (SP Movers Inc) is a rapidly growing moving company in Calgary, offering top-notch moving services ranging from packing to long-distance relocations across provinces. We seek dedicated individuals to join our team as Mover/Drivers.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in English is prefferablel (at the same time you shouldn't be a native speaker, but have excellent basic communicative skills and an acceptable vocabulary range);

- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada (work permit);

- Possession of a valid driver's license is preffered (class 5);

- While prior moving experience is preferred, candidates with a willingness to learn from scratch will be considered (you should follow the instructions of the team lead to a T);

- Demonstrated sense of responsibility and reliability (you should always arrive on time with no justifications accepted);

- Must have access to a personal vehicle (should be able to get to the yard on your own);

- This is a full-time position with a non-flexible schedule (shifts might not be every day, but you must be available last minute);

- Friendly attitude and excellent customer service skills (you should maintain a polite and respectful atmosphere);

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adept at overcoming obstacles and troubleshooting.

- Good physical fitness is required, as the position involves heavy lifting. Please take this requirement seriously.

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently transport furniture and goods to designated locations;

- Pack and unpack items with care, ensuring their safety during transit;

- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the moving process;

- Collaborate with team members to execute moves smoothly and efficiently;

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling equipment and driving;

- Be willing to travel long distances, work-related trips, work under pressure, and take material responsibility.

Benefits:

- Competitive compensation package with starting wage at $20/hour during the probation period of ONE MONTH ;

- After the probation period , the starting wage increases to $21/hour + TIPS with further salary revision (based on the performance) up to 25$;

After the probation period, successful candidates will be offered a one-year contract with the possibility of an extension.
