Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

General Labourer-Furniture Assembly & Setup:
Assemble a wide range of furniture items, including beds, tables, chairs, and other home furnishings, following manufacturer instructions and blueprints.

Inspect all furniture components for damages or defects before and after assemble Set up and arrange furniture on the showroom floor according to visual merchandising guidelines.

Warehouse Operations:

Receive incoming shipments, including manually unloading and loading products from semi-trailers. Move and organize furniture within the warehouse, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Heavy Lifting & Physical Demands:

Safely and repeatedly lift and move heavy furniture items, Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to prevent injury to self or others.

Packaging & Customer Preparation:

Carefully wrap and package assembled or floor-model furniture for customer pickup or delivery. Ensure all items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit. Load furniture into customer vehicles for pickup, providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in furniture assembly or a similar warehouse/physical labor role is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided. Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams accurately. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control. Excellent physical dexterity and the ability to handle heavy lifting and strenuous tasks. Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
