Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and professional Class 1 Funeral Director to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in guiding families through difficult times, coordinating at-need cremation arrangements as well as pre-arrangements, and ensuring that all cremations are conducted with dignity and respect. The Class 1 Funeral Director will be responsible for managing cremation arrangements from initial contact through post-cremation follow-up, providing empathetic support and expert guidance throughout the process.

Responsibilities

Meet with families to discuss cremation arrangements with sensitivity and professionalism Coordinate logistics for cremation arrangements, including transportation Manage paperwork such as death certificates, permits, and legal documentation accurately and efficiently Oversee the preperations of the deceased, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and care Maintain detailed records of all arrangements and communications in compliance with legal and company standards

Experience

Prior experience in cremation arrangements or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is essential Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic support during sensitive situations Valid driver's license is required for transportation responsibilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
