Job Description

Major Responsibilities:



? Lead the development and implementation of a fund/resource development plan that aligns

with the organization's resource development needs.

? Secure diverse resources for the agency, fostering WSN's long-term organizational financial

health and allowing for continued resources for crisis, counselling, outreach services, and

additional community needs.

? Plan and execute a social media strategy to support fundraising goals.

? Design and develop impact reports and infographics on WSN service provision and needs

? Design and develop impact reports on WSN special events, donor and fundraising campaigns

to be shared with potential donors.

Key Qualifications:

? Minimum of three years successful fundraising and donor/community engagement experience,

including events, campaigns, annual and corporate giving, grants, major gifts, and bequests.

? Strong networking and proven donor relationship building skills with individuals, groups,

corporations, and communities (including faith-based communities).

? Demonstrated experience utilizing technology and fundraising platforms which engage and

share impact reports with existing and potential donors.

? Demonstrated skills or experience in planning and implementing social media engagement for

fundraising and marketing purposes.

? Demonstrated experience working with diverse funders, staff, volunteers, community partners,

and marginalized communities.

? Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), including telephone manners.

? Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

? Creative problem solver and conceptual thinker with strong future orientation.

? Ability to be tactful and diplomatic and to manage confidential information.

? Energetic leadership skills in community settings.

? Knowledge of sexual and gender-based violence and its social contexts; a gender-based

analysis; intersectional, anti-oppression and anti-racist analysis.

? A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

? Knowledge of the York Region community.

? A second language other than English and French is an asset; Bilingualism is a strong asset.

? Related post-secondary education or equivalent education and experience.

? Oversee the coordination and delivery of fundraising campaigns, activities, and events.

? Engage, cultivate and build meaningful relationships with individuals, groups, and

communities, resulting in increased opportunities for financial resources.

? Recruit a strong and engaged cohort of fundraising volunteers to support the implementation

of the fund development strategy and all fundraising campaigns and events.
