This position will support objectives through coordination and timely submission of qualified proposals. The incumbent will need to be highly collaborative and adept at developing teams and working closely with internal and external community partners.The Coordinator will work with the Director of Career Services to develop engagement goals and measures of success, while maintaining reporting systems to ensure the expectations of stakeholders are achieved for each funding received. The role will also be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, managing and executing various funded projects.Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively identify, develop, and track opportunities for new initiatives
  • Develop new relationships, while also strengthening and maintaining existing relationships with stakeholders
  • Support overall budget planning processes including relevant revenue generation
  • Facilitate and work closely with teams on conceptualization, writing, reviewing of major multidisciplinary proposals and submission of proposals, reports and other documents
  • Serve as liaison with the Office of University Advancement during pre- and post-award periods
  • Coordinate the development, design and completion of several proposals, reports, and other projects, simultaneously to meet firm deadlines
  • Pursue multiple opportunities at any given time to maximize successful receipt of funding
  • Ensure timely and professional reporting
  • Create template to support the proposal development infrastructure; maintain a knowledge base consisting of project descriptions, research personnel, academic
  • Record and maintain data on proposal submissions, reporting schedules and deadlines, and track annual numbers and funding amounts requested and awarded
  • Work with the Office of University Advancement to support communication strategies for stakeholders, major prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Maintain accurate project information on all departmental communication mediums and social channels
  • Develop, plan, implement and manage various funded projects
  • Support the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures, as well as all aspects of project coordination, including, but not limited to budget, reporting, resource coordination, student and employer engagement
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of staff, students, and volunteers relative to each project
  • Measure, evaluate and report on all activities related to funded projects, including monthly, quarterly, and final funding reports, and contribute to annual report and data collection
Qualifications
  • Three or four year Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Project Management designation preferred, minimum formal project management training is required
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in fund development and management, proposal writing, reporting, project management, and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Post-secondary sector experience
  • Revenue generation, budget development and management experience
  • Evidence-based decision making and understanding of outcome measurement through data management
  • Innovation and continuous improvement mind-set with analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with competing deadlines and commitments
  • Ability to assemble and manage a highly collaborative team to meet objectives
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
