Job Description
We are a community impact organization dedicated to managing the health, care, transportation, and social service needs of individuals and families in East Wellington.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional in Fund Development and Communications who possesses excellent leadership skills and networking abilities. This individual will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with both prospective and current donors across various sectors while also communicating effectively with the broader public and our internal teams.
The ideal candidate should have the capability to create strategic and tactical plans that will help meet our annual funding targets. A proactive approach and the ability to inspire those around you are essential for this role. A full job description is available upon request.
Qualification Criteria:
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in fundraising, public relations, marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience and a proven record of success in raising funds for non-profit organizations from government and non-government sources
- Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and interest in working with and for diverse populations
- An understanding of the non-profit and social services sector
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, including design software, i.e. Canva and fundraising database programs
- Experience producing print materials (brochures, newsletters, etc.)
- Outgoing, inclusive and welcoming in nature
- Resourceful, motivated and energetic
- Strong skills in website maintenance and social media best practices
- Superior accuracy and attention to detail;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for meetings and events when required;
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
