About the team and the role

As an IT Analyst, you will be part of the iA Auto Finance (IAAF) IT Deliver Tower that supports the Business exploring new projects through a portfolio process, implementing these projects with the latest technologies and in an Agile environment, maintaining the existing eco systems and contribute to process improvements, etc.

IAAF has recently set some exciting strategic objectives for their Business in the next few years. In order to support these objectives on an IT stand point, this role will be key to help the Business finding the best solutions that meet their need and objectives. How? By facilitating the exploration and analysis of the prioritized projects resulting of these objectives on the portfolio board and by collaborating closely with Business leadership / Product Owners, Architects and any team required for the project (Corporate teams or Vendors).

Technologies: Kafka, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Java, Terraform, etc.

Responsibilities:

An IT Analyst, with your knowledge of Information Technology, act as a mediator between business and IT, propose solutions and improve the overall quality of services and business operations.

Liaise with key stakeholders and conduct brainstorming sessions to get exact requirements. Participate in the requirements gathering sessions with subject matter experts and other stakeholders.

Prepare Business Cases for approval by executives.

Prepare / create use cases, Business Requirement Documents, Class Diagrams, Entity-Relationship Diagrams and Sequence diagrams for projects he/she is working on

Help the Product Owner writing User Stories during refinement by documenting the need, acceptance criteria including functional and non-functional requirements.

Draw up, carry out and validate functional, integrated and/or systems tests, from test case to results.

Help clients validate and understand the analysis.

Collaborate and problem solve with the technical team to come up with solutions that are acceptable and viable.

Analyze problems from different angles and perform gap analysis.

Present the developed solution to the concerned audience and solicit feedback.

Participate in production deployment preparation, handover, end-user training and deployment activities.

Contribute to process improvements on a continuous basis

Target Profile

Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, management informatics, information systems, computer engineering, software or any other relevant training at the same level.

At least 3 years of experience in information technology

Good knowledge and proven experience in SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), DevOps, Agile (SCRUM, SAFe is an asset); LEAN methodologies is an asset.

Ability to seize opportunities and support the team to overcome obstacles, achieve goals and build resiliency - while driving a learn fast mindset.

Excellent facilitation skills during meetings or workshops.

Ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders on an executive level.

Excellent communicator and accessible technical speaker, both with IT teams and business stakeholder

Ability to simultaneously handle several aspects of the same complex situation, in the best interest of the internal partner and the organization.

High tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty.

To be able to draw out, collect or extract information and requirements from stakeholders.

Excellent negotiation and advanced conflict resolution skills.

Good knowledge/ ability to understand of key strategic IT technologies.

Professionally proficient in English, both orally and in writing - equivalent knowledge for French will be considered a strong asset.

Proven knowledge of the financial services and insurance sector (asset).
