MacEwan University is seeking a Functional Analyst for a full-time, 12-month term opportunity with the School of Continuing Education.


The Functional Analyst is responsible for identifying and facilitating opportunities for the development and enhancement of the different modules in the University's ERP/Student Information System to support the institutions Continuing Education programming. You will be responsible for working with all staff in SCE Program areas as well as the Office of the University Registrar (OUR), and project staff in Information Technology Services ERP team in a collaborative and supportive role.


Key responsibilities include:

Completing annual configuration and system testing that supports SCE operations; Training SCE staff in student information system functionality and business processed; Writing queries to support the internal business process with SCE; Problem solving and resolution facilitation for system defects and or system failures in relation to required business processes; Assuming the Functional Area subject matter expert role on the different ERP development projects being worked on by the institution on an annual basis; Working with the supervisor to support internal and external communication regarding new initiatives or business process changes related to new functionality being released; Ensuring student information system data integrity by using ad hoc or query reports to aid in necessary individual file clean-up; and Managing all T2 eHelp tickets submitted regarding School of Continuing Education functionality and issues related to students only registered in SCE courses and programming. This work will include troubleshooting as many issues as independently as possible or redirecting system issues to either a unit specific specialist or the ERP3 according to the ticket escalation protocol.

QUALIFICATIONS



A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of 2 years' experience in business planning, system analyst, research and troubleshooting complex system solutions. Business process management experience would be considered asset. PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions business knowledge (other ERP system or relational database experience will be considered) would be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
