Responsibilities & Duties:

- Work as part of a team to plan, prepare and implement stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage the children's creativity and learning and promotes each child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

- Ensure the program operates in compliance with all child care licensing and accreditation standards at all times.

- Ensure the guidance of children's behaviour encourages positive self-concept.

- Attend to children's physical needs for toileting, diapering, eating and sleeping as promptly as possible.

Other:

- Maintain a positive and professional attitude regarding the Child Enrichment Centre and its staff, parents, prospective clients and visitors.

Working Conditions:

- Taking care of children can be physically demanding. The Early Childhood Educator must be capable of lifting and carrying children and equipment, and may spend time sitting on the floor or child-sized furniture.

- The Early Childhood Educator must be able to carry out both indoor and outdoor activities, and may move throughout the community with the children.

- The Early Childhood Educator will be expected to clean and maintain the equipment and the Centre.

We are a not-for-profit Daycare, licensed to care for 81 children.

We have 4 rooms: 12 months - 6 years

Full time shifts change on a 2 - month rota

We are open from 7.15am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday except STAT Holidays and 2 Professional Days.

Pay is based on your Certification Level. 3 month probationary period.

You will also receive Alberta Government wage top up pay.

We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Educator. Level 2 and 3.

Interviews will be ongoing until a suitable candidate is found

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
