Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team for a full-time term position immediately through April/May 2027 . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting children's growth, and collaborating with families to enhance each child's educational experience.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all children, including those with disabilities. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom activities. Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational program and share best practices. Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education trends.

Experience

A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with children in a classroom setting is essential; prior teaching experience is highly valued. Bilingual candidates (English/French) are encouraged to apply, as communication skills are vital for engaging with diverse families. Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, leadership qualities, and effective writing skills are necessary for success in this role. Proficiency in computer operation and basic computer skills will be beneficial for managing classroom documentation and communication.
