Security Guard - Retirement Residence

Northern Force Security is seeking a dedicated security guard to work continental shifts at a retirement residence in Mississauga.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Security:

Monitor and secure the premises, ensuring the safety of residents, staff, and visitors at all times.

Access Control:

Manage visitor and contractor entry and exit.

Patrol Duties:

Conduct regular internal and external patrols to deter and detect security breaches, suspicious activities, and safety hazards.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to medical incidents, fire alarms, and other emergencies.

Customer Service:

Provide professional and courteous assistance to residents and visitors.

Report Writing:

Accurately document and report all incidents and observations.

Compliance:

Follow all security policies and procedures, including confidentiality and resident privacy.

Qualifications:

Work Authorization:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Security License:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License required.

CPR/First Aid:

Valid certification required.

Experience:

Previous experience in security, particularly in residential or healthcare settings, is preferred.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Attention to Detail:

High level of observation skills and awareness.

Professionalism:

Must demonstrate integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive situations.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to stand for extended periods and conduct regular patrols.

TB Test:

A tuberculosis (TB) test must be provided prior to hiring.

Shifts: Fixed Continental Schedule:


Week 1: Friday to Sunday from 06:30 AM to 06:30 PM (morning shift) and from 06:30 PM to 06:30 AM (night shift)


Week 2: Thursday to Sunday from 06:30 AM to 06:30 PM and from 06:30 PM to 06:30 AM (night shift)


Scheduled Hours: Must be available to start immediately
