Pay Rate: $18.71

: In this key role, you will oversee a state-of-the-art healthcare Control Centre. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control, and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.

• Dispatch Security Guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.
• Maintain control of access to and from the property
• Log details of radio transmission, telephone calls, and verbal instructions
• Direct backup support as necessary
• Inform management of major incidents
• Maintain the Camera Surveillance System
• Answer all incoming security telephone lines including the complex emergency telephone line.
• Ensure that security operations occur consistent with policy and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
• Previous security experience is considered an asset
• Experience in healthcare is considered an asset
• Must have a strong command and fluency in the English language both written and verbal
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duress
• Must demonstrate high attention to detail / observational awareness
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a team

At the time of the interview applicant must be able to produce proof of completion of the following prerequisites:
1. Immunization Record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
2. Proficient in English (both oral and written)
3. COVID Double Vaccination
