We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience within our dental office. This position requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with electronic dental records, and excellent communication abilities. As the first point of contact for patients, the Patient Coordinator will be responsible for managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. We are looking for a 'change maker' someone who is comfortable making recommendations for improvements &/or change in order for us to upgrade our already great experience.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Oryx
Manage patient records and ensure all electronic medical records are up-to-date and accurate.
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address patient inquiries in a timely manner.
Collect necessary patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
Assist in coordinating treatment plans
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the patient experience.
Collaborate with other office staff to ensure efficient workflow within the office.
Stay informed about dental terminology and office protocols to provide accurate information to patients.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dental office setting is required.
Proficiency in Oryx or similar practice management software is highly desirable.
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Knowledge of dental terminology is beneficial for understanding patient needs.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
