About the Role:
As a Full-Time Intermediate Accountant / Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both the accounting and operational functions of our college. Responsibilities include:
Accounting Duties:
Prepare corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns
Manage GST filings and ensure compliance
Process payroll accurately and on time
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end closing
Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
Utilize accounting software such as Sage, or QuickBooks
Assist with financial audits and prepare financial reports
Administrative & College Operations:
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries professionally
Assist students and instructors with day-to-day needs
Close the college facility at the end of each day
Support overall administrative functions and front desk operations
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Required Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience with corporate and personal tax returns
Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with corporate finance principles and practices
Previous experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Solid understanding of AP/AR processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
