Paladin Security is Hiring a Full-Time Healthcare Security Guard!:

Location:

Brockville, ON - Brockville General Hospital, Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital

Schedule:

Continental shifts, rotating days & nights (8-12 hours)

Pay Rate:

$21.69/hour

Averaging Agreement:

Overtime after 88 hours

Overview:

Paladin Security is looking for dedicated Healthcare Security Guards to support operations across multiple hospital sites in the Brockville, Perth, and Smiths Falls region. As a frontline representative of the hospital security team, you will help maintain a safe, professional, and supportive healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

This position requires strong communication, situational awareness, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional, visible security presence Greet, assist, and direct the public Protect clients, staff, buildings, and assets Work independently and as part of a team Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies Document and report incidents; conduct investigations as required Perform patient watches Enforce hospital policies and by-laws Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement Support monthly safety inspections Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Requirements (Must Have):

Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (WSIB-approved provider) Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose) Completed immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2 MMR must be completed at the time of hire Ability to provide required immunization documentation (forms provided by Paladin) Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding Ability to commit to full-time availability for at least 6 months English proficiency (oral & written) Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have:

Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience 6+ months of customer service experience Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) Applicants without these may complete Paladin's UoF/MOAB training before onboarding Training is unpaid as it is a pre-requisite, but Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month commitment to the position
