This position will provide bookkeeping and administrative support to the Director of Finance.
Duties:
Complete bookkeeping entries and bank reconciliation.
Assemble and make bank deposits.
Complete petty cash reconciliation.
Complete payroll.
Complete general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Complete year-end audit requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Understanding of not-for-profit and project accounting is desirable.
Knowledge of Sage Intaact an asset.
Knowledge of SageHR and Sage Payroll accounting software
Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel.
Knowledge of basic office practices.
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Requirements & Reporting Relationships:
Bookkeeping certificate, business diploma, or equivalent experience.
1 - 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.
Class 5 (minimum) driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Must be willing to complete a criminal record check.
This position reports to the Director of Finance, and has contact with staff, Board members, and vendors.
This position works primarily in an office setting
