Specific Position Duties:

Plan and deliver engaging instruction in core elementary subjects Demonstrate familiarity with the new Alberta K-6 Program of Studies Apply a variety of instructional approaches to support diverse learning needs Demonstrate experience in early and upper elementary education to support student learning in a split-grade setting

Qualifications and General Duties:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Experience working with Google Suite Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset
is a K-6 school located in Wainwright, Alberta. Our school serves the communities of Wainwright, Denwood, and the surrounding rural areas. WES is comprised of approximately 400 children from kindergarten to grade six. Our students are served by a staff of approximately 40 caring individuals who strive to develop the whole child.
