to join our team! This position is perfect for someone who loves cooking and wants to make a positive impact in a child-centered environment. Educators looking to transition into a kitchen-based role are also encouraged to apply.Responsibilities
Prepare and serve daily snacks and lunches for children ages 12 months to 5 years Follow set menus and accommodate allergies or special dietary needs Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Track grocery inventory and assist with ordering supplies Work collaboratively with educators and admin team
Qualifications
Passion for cooking and working in a childcare setting Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain before start date) Clear Vulnerable Sector Check Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods Experience in a childcare kitchen or commercial food setting is an asset, but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $28.62 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
