OVERVIEW
We have an immediate need for a professional full time Window Cleaner who is dedicated and detail-oriented. This role involves cleaning and maintaining windows across commercial and residential properties within the Halifax / Dartmouth area, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work, strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, use of various cleaning tools, and enjoys physical work.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our clients' facilities while developing valuable skills in commercial window cleaning and facilities maintenance.
ALL WORK WILL BE AT GROUND LEVEL OR SECOND LEVEL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Professional Window Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
Clean windows on both interior and exterior surfaces using hand tools, squeegees, and power tools as needed
Perform facilities maintenance tasks related to window cleaning, including removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Use cleaning supplies to maintain a spotless appearance of windows and surrounding areas
Use ladders safely to reach high or hard-to-access windows
Use extension poles to reach high or hard-to-reach windows.
Manage time effectively to complete assigned cleaning tasks within scheduled timeframes
Communicate with clients or team members regarding specific cleaning requirements or safety concerns
Facilitating customer payments, receipts, and work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Maintain Company Vehicle to a high standard.
Other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred, especially with window cleaning tasks
Experience is considered an asset, but not necessary.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment is considered an asset.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
Proficiency using a smartphone / device.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely using ladders
Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures is considered an asset.
Customer service oriented with a
professional attitude
Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, climbing, and manual labor
MUST have a Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License
MUST have some "comfort" working on a ladder.
