Paladin Security is hiring a dedicated and professional Security Guard to join the team at North York General Hospital Leslie. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine patrols of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, and entrances.
Monitor and operate security cameras and alarm systems.
Control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are admitted.
Respond quickly to emergencies, assisting staff during medical or security incidents.
Greet and assist visitors, providing directions and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
De-escalate tense situations with professionalism and empathy.
Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and security reports.
Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement for coordinated security efforts.
Requirements:
Must-Have Qualifications:
Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (WSIB-approved).
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses).
Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, and 2-step TB skin test).
Valid G-class driver's license.
Fluency in English (oral and written).
Ability to work a Continental Rotating Schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields.
Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
Not certified? Paladin covers the full cost of UoF/MOAB training with a 6-month employment commitment.
