Overview

Privately owned and operated dental clinic - Crystal Smiles Dental is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and Dentrix is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment. Familiarity with Dentrix is an asset Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
Hours would be:

Mondays (alternating): 12-7pm

Tuesdays: 11am-7pm

Wednesdays & Thursdays: 8am-4pm

Fridays: 8am-3pm
