MetCap Living Management Inc. is one of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s largest private third-party property managers specializing in multi-residential property management. We are a growth orientated company with our head office located in Toronto, Ontario and property operations in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

MetCap Living Management Inc is looking for a receptionist to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks at our downtown Toronto office location. We are conveniently located at Richmond and Sherbourne which is accessible by streetcar and within a short walk of the subway.

Reports to: Director, Human Resources

Duties and Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office

\xc2\xb7 Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office/phone line

\xc2\xb7 Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls

\xc2\xb7 Water head office plants

\xc2\xb7 Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)

\xc2\xb7 Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

\xc2\xb7 Receive, scan, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries

\xc2\xb7 Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)

\xc2\xb7 Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock

\xc2\xb7 Keep updated records of office expenses and costs

\xc2\xb7 Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

\xc2\xb7 Setting Up and expensing Courier/Deliveries via post office and Purolator

\xc2\xb7 Receiving rent cheques from Tenants and issuing rental receipts

\xc2\xb7 Updating internal contact directories

\xc2\xb7 Tidying the office including kitchen area

\xc2\xb7 Carrying supplies to 2nd and 3rd floor of office (must be able to carry up to 50 pounds and use stairs)

\xc2\xb7 activate FOB cards for new staff/staff in communication with the IT department

\xc2\xb7 Assist IT in the activation of FOB keys and handing out the FOB when needed

\xc2\xb7 Arm and disarm alarm system for building at start and end of each day

Requirements and skills

\xc2\xb7 Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)

\xc2\xb7 Solid written and verbal communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

\xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational skills

\xc2\xb7 Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

\xc2\xb7 Customer service attitude

\xc2\xb7 High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is an asset
