Job Title:

Receptionist

Main Purpose of the Job:

The position requires a practical knowledge of the standard procedures and terminology used in an animal clinic. It requires excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly outgoing demeanor, and the willingness to be a team member. Considerable tact and diplomacy are necessary.

Reports to:

Practise Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

To be successful as a veterinary receptionist, ensure that our office always remains presentable. Providing accurate information to inquires from clients and other members of the public.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Answering phones in a timely manner Checking clients in and out Billing and invoicing
Administrative duties

Scheduling appointments appropriately

Expected to participate in any/all aspects of animal care

Clean and stock rooms

Maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace

Qualifications:

Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Have a strong ability to problem solve and adapt to new and challenging situations

Qualifications include:

Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)

Working Conditions:

Professional and progressive animal practice.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the job require to be able to help lift animals onto exam tables or be able to handle a large breed dog. Sections which may need to be referenced are listed below:

Expected to be able to work at a computer for full shift

Job Types: Full Time

Days required: Monday to Friday, Saturday rotation - approx 2 a month.

Shift: 9:15 am to 5:45 pm Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturdays.

Salary: Starting at $18-$20 an hour depending on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
