We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team at Courtright Kiddies Korner. This role is essential in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, ensuring that all children receive the highest quality of care and education.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational experience.
Maintain organized classroom records, including attendance, lesson plans, and individual child assessments.
Lead group activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills among children.
Utilize computer operations for administrative tasks such as lesson planning and record keeping.
Skills
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation effectively.
Leadership abilities to guide support staff and encourage teamwork among colleagues.
Proficiency in computer operation for educational planning and communication purposes.
Ability to write clear reports and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Familiarity with inclusive practices for working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
Knowledge of French is a plus to enhance communication with diverse families.
